VIPERCONNECT

Fleet Connect Inc. is taking the lead in providing an affordable solution, known as VIPERCONNECT, to provide your existing radio network interoperability with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol's VIPER (Voice Interoperability Plan for Emergency Responders) Network. Using your existing radio network, a Telex IP-223 and a VIPER radio you can pair a designated channel with a talkgroup on the VIPER network. Using VIPERCONNECT your local radio system will gain the benefits of "statewide" coverage without the consequences of inadequate or spotty local coverage.

With the Telex IP-223, your radio network will be able to communicate across the entire VIPER Network. The Telex IP-223 has the ability to "buffer," or delay, the outgoing voice (if needed) should the VIPER system be busy or temporarily unavailable.

VIPERCONNECT will allow you to continue to operate using your private radio system with the added interoperability capability to talk to agencies that have adopted the VIPER system with your existing radios. Using the VIPERCONNECT system will make your radio channel a redundant network asset that is available across the VIPER Network to VIPER radios with your talkgroup.
