Telex invented IP-based dispatch technology and was the first company to offer an IP-based solution to dispatching in 2001. Telex has the reputation for more active installations and a reputation for more experience than any other manafacturer with more than 3,000 Telex IP-based consoles in use every day worldwide.
IP-based dispatch consoles provide effective communications and interoperability by providing dispatchers with connections and controls on UHF, VHF, 800 MHz, conventional, trunked, P25, iDEN and satellite as well as multiple other communications platforms.
IP-based dispatch can lower the cost of a traditional infrastructure by simplifying installation, configuration and maintenance by helping to replace costly leased lines or a Central Electronics Bank.
IP-based dispatch also allows for easier growth and back-up of systems as your communications needs evolve.
Telex has provided communications dispatch solutions for a variety of applications that vary in size and need in the public safety, military, industrial, transportation, utility, and education sectors. On top of that, a variety of complementary solutions are provided to enhance existing systems including, portable dispatch and interoperability solutions, mobile command center equipment, communications back-up and redundancy solutions and migration solutions that will allow you to utilize your current technologies while upgrading to newer technologies.
Telex designed and installed the sound system for the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas in 2010. The three million square foot structure has an interior volume of over 100 million square feet and is the largest domed structure in the world, has the largest retractable roof in the world, as well as having the largest support truss in the world that spans nearly a quarter a mile, more than twice the length of the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, Missouri.
Telex has provided efficient and reliable communications during some of the worst disasters in U.S. history. During Hurricane Katrina, Telex provided communications between numerous relief centers when the Red Cross selected the Telex IP-223 Dual IP-Adaptor Panels and C-Soft, Software Based Dispatch Consoles. All radios were connected through the IP-223s that bridged the broadcasts through an IP-based communication relay that easily connected directly to satellite uplink devices providing communications throughout the region. Telex also responded the the crisis in Galvaston, Texas during Hurricane Ike by providing the same IP-223s creating a reliable Radio IP system to emergency responders in the region, making relief and recovery efforts more efficient.
